Pelargonium Crispum: The Dwarf Geranium or Randy Geranium
Description:
Pelargonium Crispum, also known as Dwarf Geranium or Randy Geranium, is a semi-evergreen shrub belonging to the Geraniaceae family. It displays blooms that can be enjoyed for much of the year, particularly from spring until the onset of colder weather, with its leaves emitting a gentle lemon scent.
Flowering:
Unlike its counterparts such as "Pelargonium Zonale" or "Pelargonium Peltatum," Pelargonium Crispum offers smaller inflorescences but with abundant flowering.
Watering and Drainage:
Pelargonium Crispum does not tolerate waterlogging, so the planting area must be very well-drained to prevent issues with root rot.
Light Requirements:
Regarding light requirements, Pelargonium Crispum thrives in full sun, although it can also withstand partial shade.
Pest Resistance:
It typically doesn't encounter pest problems, although it may be susceptible to attacks from the geranium moth.
Pruning:
As for pruning, it can be done lightly after each flowering to tidy it up and shape it. If rejuvenation pruning is needed, it's best to do so before the arrival of spring.
**Color Variety:**
According to our experience, the salmon-colored variety tends to be more long-lasting.
