The Ranunculus is a bulbous plant that belongs to the family of the Ranunculaceaes.
It is a flower of many very fine petals that form a round head which stands in a straight stem from a compact and very leafy tussock.
You should plant it in a sunny spot and with rich soil and good drainage.
Normally it blooms in spring in variety of colors.
We will water regularly to avoid flooding.
We can cut the flowers as a cut flower, it won't have an impact on the ground, on the contrary, will stimulate the development of new flowers.
Once occurred the flowering, cut stems from wilted flowers, but not the leaves, leave them until they turn yellow and limp. This way, bulbs are nurturing and developing so that they have enough quality during the following season. And go on watering when necessary.
When matte is wilted, we can cut it off and stop watering so the bulb overwinter. Star watering again when weather improves facing next season.
There are an infinite number of colors that will give a very spring touch to the place where you sow, and is very nice planted near anthirrinums, primroses, pansies, or alyssums.
Not usually suffer from diseases if we control the risks, by not soaking th soil. And as for pests, can be affected by spider mites - in the case of very dry atmosphere and little water - or aphids.
