Campanula addenda is a perennial herb vivacious belonging to the family of the campanulaceaes.

Its main interest lies on its eye catching blue colour flowers.

It can be grown indoors in pots with plenty of light, as well as in rockery gardens, groups, terraces, balconies or in hanging baskets.

It thrives in sunny areas or partial shade as well as indoor places with plenty of light.

In warm climates flowering occurs during spring but in colder ones it happens as well during the summer.

Use universal soil for planting although it is limesotne soils tolerant as well.

Campanula needs regular water but avoid in all the cases flooding it.

To get a greater and longer flowering use special fertilizer for flowering plants just before and during the flowering period.

One other thing is to pinch off wilted flowers to stimulate new ones coming. Once flowering is finished, trim the plant to 1/3 of the same.

Campanula does not suffer from garden pests, but it can suffer from rot and rust, so prevent it from overwatering.
