Cupressus macrocarpa "goldcrest" or "monterrey", is an evergreen tree on the cupressaceas family with a piramidal shape.
This tree is very peculiar due to its bright green colour and its lemon scent.
Its bright green lime color makes this to be a very peculiar tree, as well as its scent, which remind us to the lemon.
Plant Goldcrest in an universal substrate and be sure it has a good drain.
Once the plant is established, we can prolong irrigations, even is tolerant to periods of droughts.
We recommed to apply specific treatment against conifers fungus, twice a year, in spring and autumn; also we can use special fertiliser for conifers to keep the plant in good health.
It is quite a hardy plant, which resist low temperatures and coastal climates, the important thing is not to keep them in soggy soils.
Neither does it need frequently prunning, unless we use it in hedges.
