Thuja orientalis aurea nana is a perennial plant of the family Cupressáceaes with a nice globular form, what has made it so popular.
Ornamental value of this plant resides in its globular shape, and branches which are arranged in a vertical way, as well as the beautiful green colour of its foliage.
Its leaves have a lime-green colour with tendency to golden, besides when shaked they will release a gentle scent. With low temperatures they tend to turn to brown, coming back once again to green with the softer temperatures.
It has a slow growth, that's why it is much used for small gardens, also it is very resistant and it does not need big maintenance, even it is not necessary to trim.
Irrigate without flooding the earth and use specific fertilizer for conifers. It is as well a drought tolerant plant.
