Adenium obesum or much more known as desert rose, is an evergreen shrub that belongs to the family of the apocynacea.

What most draws of this plant is flowering. Beautiful bells in colors such as white, yellow, orange, yellow,  red or bi-colour. Another attraction is the shape of its trunk in a globose shape and its roots which become curved and twisted as they grow.

In winter, it loses its leaves, and will dress back again, from spring and all along the summer.

Use some liquid fertilizer for succulent plants during spring and summer.

It is very important, as it happens in all type of succulents, that the soil has good drainage system to avoid rot neck and roots problems.

Adenium is a highly decorative plant that goes very well planted in bowls or flowerpots type bonsai.

Can be affected by aphids and whitefly, which can be combated with some kind of Multipurpose insecticide.
