Crassula arborescenss or silver dolar jade is one of the most well known succulent plant which

belongs to the crassulaceae family.

The interest of this plant lies on the beauty of its green-grey leaves with red edges, as well as on its shrub shape form, as it can grow as tall as one meter.

As all the crassulas plants it needs plenty of bright light during the most of the year, so avoid a north facing position.

Irrigation must be carried out during spring and more abundant during the summer once the surface of the soils is totally dried.

Plant or transplant Crassula arborescens in a soil with a good drainage system or in special one for succulents and cactus.

For a better development of the plant feed it during spring and summer with special fertilizers for this type of plants.

Crassula arborescens  does not need to be pruned, although is good to get rid of wilted leaves, among other things, to avoid pests and diseases  on the plant.

In the case of not had paid a proper attenttion to our plant it could come up with different anomalies such as rot stem in the case of an excess of water, or faded leaves in the contrary case, a lack of water.

In the case that some stains appear underneath the leaves it might be that it had  been attacked by mealy bugs -

Consulted sources in addition to our experience with this plant.
