Lantana sellowiana or Weeping lantana is a creeping shrub on the verbenacea family.
It is very easy to cultivate in warm and subtropical climates, and it is blooming continuosly, less with low temperatures that it stops growing.
We will trim Lantana before spring, to have a bushier shrub. Also this plant is drought resistant once it is established and even it will withstand short periods of freeze.
Very similar to it is the Lantana Camara, being this a shrub of larger dimensions and mostly used for the realization of hedges of greater magnitude. The variety "bandana" is a more round and compact shrub that also goes very well in pots and containers.
It might be attacked by white fly, but if this happened we can treat it with a systemic insecticide as imidacloprid or acetamiprid.
