Cupressus ‘Totem’

Description
A conifer with a very narrow, upright growth habit, compact and elegant. Dense foliage with an intense green colour all year round. Ideal for small spaces or linear plantings.

Origin
Derived from Cupressus sempervirens, native to the eastern Mediterranean region.

History
Cypress trees have symbolised endurance and protection since ancient times. The ‘Totem’ selection was developed for modern gardens that need vertical structure without taking up space.

Care
A hardy and low-maintenance plant. Prefers sunny or semi-shaded positions and well-drained soil. Once established, it tolerates heat and drought well.

Curiosity
Its extremely slim shape makes it a perfect alternative to traditional hedges where width is limited.

Watering
Moderate. Water regularly during the first year; afterwards only during long dry periods. Avoid waterlogging.

Pruning
Minimal. No shaping is required—only light pruning to remove dry or misplaced branches.
