Solanum rantonnetii is a perennial or semi-perennial plant which belongs to de Solanaceaes family.

Beautiful small flowers in purplu, lilac or white colour appears on the plant during a long time. It is a very rustic plant of fast growing.

Place Solanum in full sun, and although it is not a plant that is not demanding of special soils, it will prosper much better in an enriched type of soil.

Regular waters are necessary mainly during the hottest months of the year. However it is a plant which once is well established can withstand periods of drought, but not too damped soils.

During the spring is also adviceble to add a good lyer of new enriched soil to encourage a better growth of the solanum, and a rich potassium fertilizer can be also used to encourage flowering.

 It might suffer of some type of light garden pests such as aphids which will desappear with water to pression. Also trips could appear, but these can be treated with summer oils. 

Do not overwater the plant to avoid the appearance of fungi.
