It is distinguished by its large bell-shaped flowers, which emit a delicate aroma especially during the summer. It is a tall plant that can climb and entwine itself around structures such as pergolas or trellises.
Care:
- Light: Requires many hours of light but direct sunlight should be avoided.
- Substrate: Needs a very fertile substrate with good drainage, often composed of peat and sand.
- Humidity and Temperature: Demands high ambient humidity and a temperature above 10 or 15 °C. It is essential to keep the substrate moist at all times and spray the leaves with water.
- Pruning: Deep pruning is recommended in autumn, at the end of the flowering period, to encourage more vigorous flowering in spring.
- Pests: Susceptible to pests such as red spider mites and mealybugs, so it is important to be vigilant and take preventive measures.
Watering:
It is essential to keep the substrate consistently moist, avoiding it from drying out completely between waterings.
