The Crassula Afra, also known as the Jade Plant or Money Plant, belongs to the Crassulaceae family and is a slow-growing evergreen succulent. Its scientific name is Crassula ovata or Crassula argentea, and it originates from South Africa, where it is considered a succulent shrub.

Characteristics:

It can reach a height of 1-2 meters and has thick, fleshy leaves, often with reddish margins. It produces small clusters of star-shaped, white flowers, mainly in autumn and winter.

Care:

The Crassula Afra thrives best in full sun or partial shade and can tolerate brief frosts if the soil is dry. Indoors, it is recommended to place it outside from spring to late summer. It adapts well to coastal areas and prefers sandy soils, although it can also grow in rocky or volcanic soils.

Indoor Cultivation:

It is one of the easiest indoor plants to care for, although flowering rarely occurs in domestic environments. It requires good drainage if grown in pots and can tolerate a dry environment with poor soil.

Propagation:

It can be propagated by stem cuttings or seeds. Additionally, the plant can be easily rejuvenated if it becomes too large. To do this, some old leaves can be removed from the stem, planted in soil near the mother plant, and new shoots will soon sprout.
