If you are looking for a plant with a different appearance, the Eremophila rubra is perfect for you. This Australian bush stands out for the silver colour of its leaves, which gives it a very elegant appearance. Its colour is due to the protective hairs that cover the leaves.

This plant comes from a very hot climate, so it is well adapted to drought and can survive weeks without irrigation. Instead, moisture is his biggest enemy. If we plant it in an area with high humidity, we shall keep it in full sun and in a space with good aireation.

It is very sensitive to cold. In winter we must especially protect its roots.

The flowering of this plant occurs between winter and spring. It has small bell-shaped flowers of purplecolor.

As a decorative plant, we can place it next to dark furniture or walls to take advantage of the contrast with its almost white leaves. It is also usually planted in rockeries.
