The avocado or Persea Americana is a tree of Evergreen in the family of the lauraceaes.
It is sensitive to cold, frost, humidity and winds, hot and strong, mainly when they are small.
Too much water can make fall the fruit.
The first harvest in grafted trees usually reach five years.
The fruit can be rough as the 'hass' or the "pinkerton"; or smooth as the "strong", "bacon" or "zutano"
The collection of fruit, depending on course is the variety, will begin in the autumn.
We can prune the avocado once picked the fruit to give it a good way, eliminating weak and broken, branches often break with ease - and leaving the main.
You need a neutral or somewhat alkaline land.
It is recommended to use insecticides when there are some pests, the most common are: aphids, spider mites and mealy.
